President’s Message

Looking forward to another great outdoor tennis season! The nets will be up sometime after April 1 (weather permitting). As those of you who have
been members in previous years will know, our club is all about the tennis and the social – we do like to have fun on and off the courts.

The WRTC is a members only club except for public hours on Sunday and Monday between 4 and 7 and on statutory holidays from 4 to 6.

Shoe tags must be worn and clearly visible at all other times on the courts. All are welcome to join.

What we have planned for the season:

Six FREE beginner/novice lessons for members or non-members 14 years or older - Saturdays from 2:30 to 3:30 starting
Saturday, May 6. Try tennis and if you like it, join our club!

Spring and Summer house league play happening on Monday (women’s doubles and men’s doubles) and Wednesday (mixed doubles)
nights from 7 to 10 contact Sue Croley at houseleagues@westrougetennisclub.com.

Three STF teams – B1, B2 and C1 for the more competitive players contact Janet Cabell at stf@westrougetennisclub.com or
call at 416-283-8330.

Fun social events including the Opening Day BBQ and tennis – SUNDAY, MAY 7 (mark your calendars) and the Iron Man/Woman

Mixed Luck of the Draw
tournament (a fun, no-pressure tournament) on May 28 and the Club Championships in September,

Junior lessons (free), Junior Appreciation Day (for all juniors), Junior STF (competitive tennis), and the Adult/Junior tennis

    * Friday morning tennis aerobics from 9 to 10 and 10 to 11 or Saturday afternoon tennis aerobics from 1:30 to 2:30
    (great fun and exercise AND improves your tennis!)

    * Free 6 beginner/novice lessons for ages 14 and up, Saturdays from 2:30 to 3:30pm starting Saturday, May 6

    * Free 6 lessons for juniors in the spring (Saturday)

    * Wednesday junior tennis lessons - 6 for $60

    * 5 junior tennis camps for juniors (due to popular demand)

    * Junior tennis tournament (for intermediate and above level juniors)

    * Private or semi-private lessons
